Who Is Queen Isabella?
Our Queen Isabella is the typical Italian-American young woman. She symbolizes our community in her dreams, ambitions, and ideals. She will represent the Columbus Day Celebration and Italian Heritage Parade and our community for the duration of the Celebration at various functions and events.
What does it mean to be Queen Isabella?
Queen Isabella is the primary focal point of the Columbus Day Celebration. She should recognize and represent the ideals of the Italian-American community – hard work, the importance of family and religion, and a love of life. Former Queen Isabellas and their Courts look upon the experience as unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime. Simply portraying a member of the Court lends itself to feeling regal.
How is Queen Isabella selected?
A panel of judges in an interview setting chooses Queen Isabella. They are looking for poise, personality, grace, and pride in her heritage.

The outgoing court will serve until the crowning of the new queen at
the Columbus Day Grand Ball
in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade's 2010 Queen Isabella and Her Court
will serve as ambassadors throughout the City's Columbus Day Celebration
in October, including the Grand Ball at the Farimont Hotel on
Saturday, October 9 and officiate in the Parade on Sunday October 10, 2010.
The young women were selected based on their poise, Italian Heritage enthusiasm, community involvement, and public speaking. Congratulations to each of them!
